Bryony qualified as a solicitor in 1976 and practised in London before moving to Norfolk in 1990 where she became a partner in Mills & Reeve specialising in corporate law until her retirement in 2005.
Bryony is a Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk.
In 2004 Bryony became Chairman of City College Norwich and is now Chairman of Transforming Education in Norfolk and Norfolk Academies.
