Sixth Form Centre Open Evening

Date: Thursday, 15 October 2015 - 5:00pm to 8:00pm

City College Norwich has offered A Levels for many years. One of our most famous former students is Stephen Fry and we continue to help hundreds of young people every year to achieve great results and move on to higher education and rewarding careers.

The Sixth Form Centre was formed in 2007 to bring all our A Level courses together in one specialist area where full time 16-18 year old students would be taught by A Level experts. This allows our students to benefit from the academic expertise and experience of our A Level teachers and group tutors as well as the College’s grown up approach and excellent resources and facilities. These include a superb Information Store with thousands of books and other resources, 1,200 PCs a TV studio and media suite, a sports hall and well-equipped gym and there is a choice of five cafés and restaurants.

Our A Level pass rate rose from 97% in 2014 to 99% in 2015, with many students achieving high grades and progressing to selective university courses.

In March 2013, Ofsted rated the College as good (grade 2), describing science and mathematics teaching, learning and assessment as consistently good and Sixth Form Centre tutorial support as good.  The full Ofsted report can be found at:

If you would like to know more, come along to our Sixth Form Centre Open Evening from 5.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursday 15th October, when you will be able to meet staff and students and look around the Centre, including our specialist classrooms, laboratories and art and drama studios.

If you are unable to come to this Open Evening, you will still be able to speak to some of our Sixth Form Centre staff and students at the College Open Days on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th November, as well as looking at all of the facilities within the College which you would be able to access as a student in the Sixth Form Centre.
